Paolo Cappelletti Award
The Paolo Cappelletti Award honors the memory of Paolo Cappelletti. Paolo has been a pioneer in the development of non-volatile memory technologies, an outstanding researcher in the field of device physics, a passionate science communicator, a wise mentor and a strong supporter of students and junior researchers, thus with strong ties with Milano Universities. Paolo is also one of the founders and fathers of the International Workshop on the Characterization and Modeling of Memory devices (IWCM²).
2024 Paolo Cappelletti Award
The Paolo Cappelletti Award will be given to outstanding Junior Scientists working in the broad field covered by IWCM², namely the science and technology of memory devices, circuits and systems. The Award consists of a certificate and a monetary prize funded by STMicroelectronics and Micron Technology, the companies where Paolo spent his professional career.
Candidates for the Paolo Cappelletti Award should have been accomplished their Master Thesis in Electronic Engineering or Physics or Materials Science at Politecnico di Milano or Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca by less than three years, referred to the first day of the conference. The topic of the thesis must fall in the broad field covered by IWCM², namely the science and technology of memory devices, circuits and systems. Interested candidates should apply via the this website. The Award winner selection will be carried out by the Scientific Committee of IWCM², which consists of experts from both academy and industry.
The Paolo Cappelletti Award will be presented during an official ceremony at the IWCM², which takes place every year in early October in Milan, alternatively at Politecnico di Milano and Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca.
